special olympic basketball
In 2008 the Cougars were invited by Head Coach Trent Edie of the Conotton Valley Rockets to watch the JV and Varsity teams play. Not only was the team invited to watch one of their games, free admission by the way, during halftime of the Varsity game, all of the Cougars (black and gold teams), cheerleaders and Coaches were introduced by the announcer. After the game, everyone was treated to pizza in the cafeteria. The basketball players from Conotton Valley came in and talked with all the athletes and thanked them for coming. It was a great night for all. I had comments from the Conotton Valley audience thanking us for coming and applaud us for what we do.
